Celtic Reiki

Celtic Reiki is a New Age version of traditional Reiki.  Developed by Martyn Pentecost and others, it is said to incorporate the spiritual beliefs of the ancient Celts and their priests, the Druids.  The Druids had a great reverence for things of the natural world.  The earth, oceans, trees, and other plants were all venerated.

Practitioners of Celtic Reiki believe that the power of the universal life force can be enhanced by calling forth additional forms of energy that are connected to the earth and things of the natural world.  For practitioners of Celtic Reiki, it the combination of energies of different vibrations that makes a healing session most effective.

According to Celtic Reiki, there are three types of healing energies.   The first are the energies that come from the earth. The second is what they call manifestation energies. The third type of healing energy is in the master energies. All three of these energies are important.  Different combinations may be used for different forms of healing.

Celtic Reiki uses different symbols than traditional Reiki as triggers for the healing energies.  Many of these are Mandalas.  These may focused on for up to five minutes.  The energies move from the Mandala into the body, causing a slow change in energies. Other symbols that are used in Celtic Reiki come from the ancient alphabet of the Druids. They serve the same purpose that symbols do in a traditional Reiki healing session.  A Celtic Reiki treatment usually lasts for an hour.  As with traditional Reiki, it involves placing the hands in strategic locations and in specific sequences that will elicit a deep state of relaxation.

Not only is Celtic Reiki used for healing, it is also used for goal manifestations. Goal manifestations are achieved through meditation practices,  These meditation practices encourage an energy flow in such a way that a person's goals are realized on the physical plane. Thus, Celtic Reiki techniques can tackles day to day issues that have little to do with physical healing.  Issues of prosperity, finance, work, and building relationships may be addressed with Celtic Reiki.

If you choose to learn Celtic Reiki, you will learn many of the same things you would in traditional Reiki.  However, you will be attuned to tree and plant energies.  Also, you will learn about the Celtic symbols, hand placements, moon phases, and the various aspects of soul journeying and manifestation.
